Bloom Stage Call for Photos

CALL FOR PHOTOGRAPHS by middle Tennessee and Cumberland Plateau area residents, SUBMISSION DEADLINE 8/21: 

The Bloom Stage, a local multi-genre showcase, brings a blend of storytelling, poetry, music, and art to the stage in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and beyond. Now in its 8th season, the series is produced quarterly at the Walnut House by storyteller and personal coach Kara J Kemp with assistance from poet and writer Kory Wells, Author in partnership with Poetry in the Boro. The show also has select performances in historic Rugby, Tennessee. 

The theme for our next show is “Golden Hour,” which we encourage creatives to interpret broadly. Show dates are Thursday evening, September 10, at the Walnut House and Saturday evening, September 12, in Historic Rugby.

We’re inviting local photographers to submit ONE photo responding to the theme that we’ll include in the show. Here are the details:

Submit your ONE favorite golden hour photo. This photo does not have to be taken during the golden hour, though of course it might be. It might also be an image of something gold, of a golden moment in your life, etc. However you interpret "golden hour" is fine.

• Make sure the image is stamped with your name (or we can add)

• Horizontal 16 x 9 format works best, but we can accommodate any dimensions. Please submit the file (jpg or bmp) with your name as part of the file name.

• Please do not send super large files - a file size in the 1 to 4MB range is best for our purposes.

• By submitting, you agree that your photograph will be shown on the display screen during our live performance and recorded/made available for later streaming.

While we intend to include all submissions, we may close submissions early if we receive more than we can use.
